How to get Large Pal Souls in Palworld

Fully upgrade your Pals

If you’re trying to fully upgrade your Pals at a Statue of Power in Palworld, you need to have a decent supply of Large Pal Souls.

Large Pal Souls are the resource required to upgrade the last two stages of a Pal’s HP, attack, defense, and work speed at a Statue of Power. The previous two forms of Pal Souls, Small and Medium, are much simpler to find than their larger counterpart in Palworld. You can see everything you need to know about finding and farming Large Pal Souls in Palworld in the guide below.

Finding Large Pal Souls in Palworld

There are a few different ways to go about getting Large Pal Souls. However, the easiest and perhaps most efficient way of acquiring the item is through random luck. Like with Small and Medium Pal Souls, you can randomly find Large Pal Souls scattered on the ground throughout the world. The souls look like gray, transparent stones on the ground and can be looted right into your inventory if you find one.

However, the Large Pal Souls only spawn in certain areas on the map. More specifically, you can mostly find random Large Pal Souls on the ground in the Astral Mountains region to the north, the volcano biome to the west, and the desert biome to the northeast on the map. These regions are the most dangerous and high-level on the map, so make sure you’re at the appropriate level before venturing out to any of them.

In addition to the RNG method, you can also find Large Pal Souls by capturing or killing specific Pals. At the time of writing, there are only three Pals that have Large Pal Souls in their drop table:

  • Anubis
  • Frostallion / Frostallion Noct
  • Necromus

All of these Pals are found at level 45 and above in the wild, but you can also breed them with the right Pal combination. As such, arguably the best way to farm Large Pal Souls is to continually kill these Pals in the wild or after you’ve bred them. With Anubis and Frostallion, you can defeat their Alpha forms on the map for a guaranteed encounter.

The final way of finding Large Pal Souls is to loot them from high-tier chests. For the most part, you can only find Large Pal Souls in chests that require a Gold Key. These chests are primarily located in the high-level regions I mentioned earlier (snow, desert, volcano biomes).

And those are all of the methods you can use to find and loot Large Pal Souls in Palworld. It’s certainly not an easy endeavor, but it’s worthwhile one considering how strong you can make your Pals by upgrading them fully at a Statue of Power.
