How many Chapters are there in Resident Evil 4 Remake?

There's a different number of chapters in the remake

The core gameplay loop in the Resident Evil 4 Remake is the same as the original game that was released in 2005. The core weapons, locations, and characters are all present in the remake, much to Resident Evil fans’ delight. However, the developers at Capcom have also made some key changes in the remake, including adding new weapons, such as the Bolt Thrower. However, one of the changes that many players might be wondering about throughout the Resident Evil 4 Remake is how many chapters there are.

In the original Resident Evil 4, there are a total of five main story chapters. The remake has changed that, adding several additional chapters. The story itself isn’t longer, though, as the developers have simply made the chapters stick to one primary region of the game. This means players will be able to explore the regions of the map more extensively before having to move on to the next chapter.

Resident Evil 4 Remake total Chapters

In total, there are 16 chapters in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. This accounts for the entire main story from start to finish. When players complete a chapter, the game will give them a performance breakdown, outlining how they did and what they were able to find. In addition to the performance chart, players are also given a chance to save their game and interact with their inventory. This comes in handy, as players can switch out their weapons or other items before heading into a new chapter.

After completing every single chapter and finishing the game, players will be given the choice to restart or pick a save point to load from. Players can use this to find any additional secrets or items they might have missed, such as the CQBR assault rifle.

Players should be able to complete the 16 chapters of the Resident Evil 4 Remake in roughly 20 to 25 hours. That playtime can be extended depending on if players decide to fully explore the map by finding every single item and earning all of the achievements. The playtime will also depend on what difficulty level players pick, as the harder levels will likely result in players dying and restarting missions much more often than normal.
