While some of the puzzles in the Resident Evil 4 Remake are mandatory to complete, others, such as the Hexagon puzzle are optional. Players don’t have to complete the Hexagon puzzle, but if they stumble across it, it’s probably worth their time to get past it. Players can earn a nice sum of pesetas if they complete the puzzle.
If you’ve been struggling to complete the Hexagon puzzle for one reason or another in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, we have you covered. Check the guide below for a step-by-step guide on completing this puzzle.
Solving the Hexagon puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake
Unlike most other puzzles in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, the Hexagon puzzle cannot be completed in a single go. Instead, you will need to find different Hexagon pieces across a couple of chapters to eventually complete this optional task. When you have all of the pieces, you should head back to the Church immediately, as waiting could result in an inability to go back and solve the puzzle.
You need three different Hexagon pieces before you’re able to complete it. You can see where to find all of the puzzle pieces below:
- First Hexagon Puzzle Piece – In the Quarry area, look for the box right past the Merchant’s shop area
- Second Hexagon Puzzle Piece – In the Fish Farm area, you will eventually find a small room with a chest off the main path. Head into the room and open the chest to loot the puzzle piece
- Third Hexagon Puzzle Piece – In the Mural Cave, you can find this puzzle piece while completing the separate puzzle in this area. The puzzle piece is found together with the main quest item you receive after completing the Mural Cave puzzle
With all three puzzle pieces in hand, head back to the Church and interact with the puzzle. The goal you’re looking to achieve is to rotate all of the Hexagon pieces to eventually form an image resembling Del Lag attacking a person in the water. You will need to rotate all of the puzzle pieces until you can form this image. However, when you access the puzzle, it will be completely random where all the pieces end up, so we can’t tell you exactly which pieces to move.
Simply keep moving them until you see Del Lago’s claws, and you will solve the Hexagon puzzle. Upon its completion, you will be rewarded with the Depraved Idol, which you can sell to the Merchant for 15,000 pesetas.
