At its core, Hogwarts Legacy is a role-playing game that sees players take on the character of a fifth-year transfer student. This means that players will be acquiring new skills, gear, and other items to aid them along their journey in the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. While players will be able to upgrade all of these character aspects as they progress through the game, players are curious about exactly when they can upgrade certain elements. At the start of the game, players are given access to 20 different inventory slots. Unlock more inventory slots in Hogwarts Legacy
As far as we know, there is only one known method of increasing your inventory slots. That method is completing Merlin Trials, which are open world challenges that were developed by Merlin himself. There are five Merlin Trials in total in Hogwarts Legacy, and players earn four extra inventory slots after they complete one trial. This means players can access 20 extra slots by completing every single Merlin Trial. You can find Merlin Trials all over the map, so you’ll need to explore every region to fully expand your slots.
The trials become available to players after they complete the “The Girl from Uagadou” quest. They are all different challenges, and they range from guiding moths to light, moving rocks, and lighting torches. As soon as you complete one trial, you will see your inventory expand.
