While it might seem like a Pokemon knock-off at first, Palworld is a survival game at heart, which means it comes with all of the features expected from that genre. This includes relying on a durability system for weapons, tools, and armor, which means you will have to learn how to repair your gear in Palworld.
When you first create a Wooden Club or Pickaxe, you will get some decent use out of it before the game tells you “your weapon has been damaged.” At this point, you need to use something called the Repair Bench, which is a buildable object in Palworld that you can utilize from the very start of the game. However, even once you build the Repair Bench, it’s a little unclear how you can repair your gear with it.
This guide will go over everything you need to know about repairing your weapons and armor using the Repair Bench in Palworld.
Repair weapons and armor in Palworld
First and foremost, you need to build a Repair Bench. This structure is unlocked via the Technology menu in Palworld, but you should be able to unlock its recipe once you reach level two. Once you unlock the crafting recipe for the Repair Bench, you can build it in any location and begin using it like you would a normal Workbench.
When you go to use the Repair Bench, a menu pops up that showcases your inventory and your equipped weapons, armor, and shield. To repair one of your weapons, pieces of armor, or shield, simply click on the item you want to repair. This will trigger the item to appear on the right side of the screen along with the required materials you need to repair it and its current durability.
Usually, you only need two Wood and two Stone to repair weapons while the required materials for armor vary from piece to piece. If you have the correct number of materials to repair the item you selected, you can hit the blue “Repair” button at the bottom of the screen. This fully restores the item’s durability, allowing you to use it again if it was broken. I recommend repairing items when they start to get low on durability and not after they’ve already broken, though. This ensures you won’t be stuck with a useless weapon or tool if you need it out in the world.
And that’s everything you need to know about repairing weapons and armor using the Repair Bench in Palworld. You can check out our previous guides on how to catch Lucky Pals or the best ways to get food if you’re still in the early hours of Palworld.
