How to get Diamonds in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Valuable in Hyrule

As players will likely have already surmised, Diamonds are just as valuable in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as they are in the real world. Unfortunately for players, they’re equally as rare and difficult to find in Hyrule as well. However, that doesn’t mean that they’re impossible to get a hold of.

Diamonds are a terrific way to make some fast Rupees in Tears of the Kingdom, as they sell for quite a lot of cash to the right merchant. However, players can also use Diamonds to add an extra type of attack to their weapon through Link’s Fuse ability. In any case, players who are looking for Diamonds will need to know the ins and outs of where to find them in Hyrule. Luckily, I have you covered with the primary methods of acquiring Diamonds in Tears of the Kingdom.

Getting Diamonds in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The most surefire way to get your hands on a Diamond is to complete certain Shrines where they are guaranteed to drop as a reward. The following Shrines give out Diamonds as a Rauru’s Blessing reward inside of a chest:

  • Ganos Shrine
  • Maoikes Shrine
  • Mayaotaki Shrine
  • Momosik Shrine
  • Jochi-ihiga Shrine
  • Sihajog Shrine
  • Yomizuk Shrine

Aside from the Shrines, you can also find success in mining for Diamonds. This is done by simply breaking open random ore deposits spread across Hyrule. There are no guaranteed deposits that will drop Diamonds, though, so you will have to rely on some luck to have one produce a Diamond that you can pick up. The Goron Caves near Death Mountain hold some of the largest quantities of ore deposits in Tears of the Kingdom if players wanted a good place to start mining. You mainly want to be on the lookout for deposits that have a yellow sparkle coming off them, as these will drop rarer rewards than normal deposits.

Finally, the last method of acquiring Diamonds we have found is using Dondons. These new creatures are found in a specific location on the map and can be fed Luminous Stones to produce gems. Once the Dondon has eaten the stone, it will produce a gem sometime later. This gem will likely not be a Diamond, but there is a small chance it will be.

And that does it for all of the methods to find Diamonds in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
