How to find the Echo of Varshan in Diablo 4

The Season 1 questline in Diablo 4 concludes with you taking on Varshan, who is responsible for the Malignant corruption that has been spreading around Sanctuary. Upon defeating Varshan, the questline will be complete and you can move on to the endgame festivities. One aspect of the endgame in Season 1 is the ability to take on the Echo of Varshan, similar to the way you could fight the Echo of Lilith at the end of the original endgame in Diablo 4.

The Echo of Varshan is a more difficult version of Varshan and drops some tantalizing rewards for you to scoop up. However, the only way to summon the Echo of Varshan is by crafting a specific item and visiting one of a few locations on the map. Finding the Echo of Varshan in Diablo 4

Your first step in fighting the Echo of Varshan is to craft the Invoker of Varshan. After defeating the boss the first time, they will drop a crafting recipe for you to pick up, which is for the Invoker of Varshan. You can craft this at Cormond’s Wagon using some basic materials found in Season 1. Also, you must be on World Tier 1 or 2 going forward, as playing on World Tier 3 will not trigger the boss fight.

With the Invoker in your possession, you need to head to Malignant Tunnels and look for a locked gate at the end of each one. Not all tunnels will have this gate at the end of it, so you might have to visit a few of them before finding the right one. If you find the locked gate, go through it to reach a room with an Outgrowth in it. Use your Invoker on the Outgrowth, and the Echo of Varshan will spawn.

Obviously, you need to defeat this boss and upon doing so, they will drop a new crafting recipe for the Foul Invoker of Varshan. All you need is for this recipe another Invoker of Varshan and some Sigil Powder to make it at Cormond’s Wagon.

With the Foul Invoker of Varshan in your inventory, switch over to World Tier 3 and repeat the same process. Go into a Malignant Tunnel, look for the gate, and then head past it to use the Foul Invoker on the Outgrowth. Now, an even stronger version of the Echo of Varshan will spawn.
