How to find and catch Maraith in Palworld

Maraith isn’t necessarily one of the stronger Pals in Palworld, but it’s easily one of the rarest. The mysterious Dark-type only spawns in one region of the map at a certain time of day, making the odds of you running into it extremely low.

Of course, if you want to fill out your Paldeck and use some specific breeding combinations, you need to know where and when to find Maraith so you can capture it. The guide below showcases the Pal’s exact location on the map and the best ways to go about catching it.

Finding Maraith in Palworld and how to catch it

As with most Dark-types in Palworld, like Helzephyr, you can only catch Maraith when it’s nighttime out in Palworld. This means the moon has to be out and the temperatures need to drop before you’ll see any Maraiths poke their head out.

With that caveat out of the way, you’re only able to find Maraith in one specific region on your map: the Astral Mountains. This large, late-game region is a frigid landscape home to the PAL Genetic Research Tower and plenty of high-level Ice-type Pals. However, you can also find some intriguing nocturnal Pals here, such as Kitsun and Maraith. You can see where Maraith spawns in the Astral Mountains in the map screenshot below:

Basically, you can find Maraith all over the Astral Mountains when it’s nighttime. When you happen to stumble across one, it will likely be around level 35-38. As such, you’ll want at least a Hyper Sphere to catch it with a high chance of success. A Giga Sphere also works, but your capture rate will be quite low. As Maraith is a Dark-type, it’s best to use Dragon-type attacks to lower its HP until you’re ready to start throwing spheres at it.
