There are dozens of random side quests found all over Sanctuary in Diablo 4. From the ones in the major cities and settlements of the game to the ones that are spread across the surrounding areas, players will always have a quest waiting for them. However, not all of the quests are simple fetch missions that take no brain power on the part of the player. Case and point is the Secret of the Spring quest, which involves a riddle that players need to solve in Diablo 4.
Players can find the Secret of the Spring quest just north of the Cathedral’s location in Kyovashad. Once players make their way out of Kyovashad, they can find the quest just south of the Forsaken Quarry dungeon and right near a climbable ladder. The quest will come in the form of a note lying in the snow on the ground. Once players pick up and read the note, a quest marker will appear on the map.
However, it’s not clear whatsoever what players need to do once they reach the quest marker.
Completing the Secret of the Spring riddle in Diablo 4
The quest marker in Secret of the Spring will bring you to a small pool in the middle of the snow. There will be some Ice Marauders you have to kill, but other than that the area doesn’t have anything else around it.
What you need to do is stand right next to the pool and then bring out your action wheel. On the action wheel screen, press Customize and then choose the “Wait” emote. Assign it to a slot on the wheel, and then save your changes. Bring the action wheel back up, press the Wait emote, and then a chest will appear directly next to you.
As the note you read said, you need to be patient to earn the reward. You can’t get any more patient than waiting by a pool in the middle of a blizzard. Loot your chest, and then the Secret of the Spring quest will be complete.
