Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel maintenance to bring new shop content

The two and a half hour maintenance will bring new shop items to the game.

Just ahead of the highly anticipated “Xyz Festival” event in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, the game will be in maintenance for a short time before its first-ever event kicks off. This also means that new content will be added to the game for the first time. The mid-week maintenance will bring new shop items to Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, which could mean new cards and mates. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel maintenance is scheduled for 12 a.m. ET on Thursday and will last until 2:30 a.m. ET.

Maintenance details

This Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel maintenance period is bringing more system updates to the game but it also has more in store this time around. Just like the previous two maintenance periods, while maintenance is going on, the game will not be able to be accessed. Furthermore, Rooms and Match History data will be removed in an effort to improve server connections.

Any player that has active Secret Packs that are counting down at the time of maintenance will not have those timers stop. The timers will continue through the maintenance. However, this maintenance period is shorter than the last two.

Maintenance will last just over two hours at an approximate completion time scheduled for two hours and 30 minutes in the late hours of Wednesday for some players and the early hours of Thursday for others.

What is coming?

There have been multiple data mines that have shown what can possibly be coming in the maintenance period. With the Xyz Festival event happening right after maintenance ends, it’s likely that players will get access to at least one new pack option in the shop. According to the data mine leaks, there are plans for an Xyz-focused pack titled “Xyz Explosion,” which has the tagline “A must-have for your entry into the Xyz-only tournament!” This pack is obviously Xyz monster-focused and features many powerful Xyz monsters like Raidraptor – Ultimate Falcon, Constellar Pleiades and Bujintei Susanowo.

Maintenance can also possibly bring more new card packs like the previously leaked Ruler’s Mask and Beyond Speed. These packs feature brand new cards that are not available yet in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.

On top of packs, players may be able to acquire new cosmetic items like Card Sleeves and Mates. Another recent data mine shows that there are several unreleased card sleeves and Mates in the game’s files. Some very popular mates that have been discovered include Scapegoat, Mokey Mokey and Skull Servant.
