Now, NYFU are set to field the following roster at upcoming VALORANT tournaments:

  • Chad “Oderus” Miller
  • Diondre “YaBoiDre” Bond
  • Andrew “ShoT_UP” Orlowski
  • Jason “Neptune” Tran
  • Jason “JSUNG” Sung

In-game leader Oderus is the only player who remains from the previous iteration of NYFU. Meanwhile, players coming from Evil Geniuses, FaZe Clan, Rise and Soniqs have joined to round out the team.

Alongside NYFU, NYXL continue to operate franchises in multiple other esports titles. These include the Overwatch League’s New York Excelsior and the Call of Duty League’s New York Subliners.

More about the new NYFU VALORANT roster

NYFU made big changes to their VALORANT roster shortly after their organization rebranded from Andbox in March. On April 4, they removed Jonard “Jonaaa6” Penaflor and Dayton “Lear” Akau from the team, while also moving Daniel “vice” Kim and Anthony “mummAy” DiPaolo to the inactive roster. NYFU also announced Wednesday that they have formally removed vice and mummAy from the team as well.

The Andbox VALORANT roster last competed at the Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet in March, where they finished in 17th place after incurring an 0-2 loss against Complexity. After a month-long break, the revamped NYFU team quietly made their debut on Monday at the Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship – Open 2. They defeated For The Experience, Moonrise, Qor Red and Lenny Time before losing to Knights Academy for a third-place finish.

The NYFU VALORANT players will make their first tournament appearance following NYXL’s official announcement at April’s Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet on Wednesday. They are set to face Capacity, Team Mystic and PUGSTARS in the group stage.
