Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora coming to Xbox Game Pass?

Are Game Pass users in luck?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is the last major game to release in 2023, and Xbox Game Pass users want to know if they’ll get to play it on day one.

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that thousands of gamers rely on to play all of the latest titles being released. While not every game is released through the service, it’s certainly enough to warrant paying a small monthly fee instead of continually paying $40-70 for any new game that launches. Of course, Game Pass users still have to pay that premium price if they want to play a game that isn’t coming to the service.

Below, you can see whether or not Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is coming to Xbox Game Pass or if you’ll have to pay full price for it.

Unfortunately for any Game Pass subscriber out there, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is currently not planned to come to Game Pass now or in the near future. Neither Xbox nor Ubisoft has stated anything on the matter in the lead-up to the game’s launch, which is never a good sign. However, this most likely has to do with Ubisoft launching Frontiers of Pandora on its own subscription service, Ubisoft Plus.

Ubisoft Plus is extremely similar to Game Pass, allowing users to pay a monthly fee in exchange for having access to a wide library of games. Of course, Ubisoft Plus is far more limited than Game Pass, really only featuring games launched under Ubisoft’s development studios. Since Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an Ubisoft title, the game will launch on Ubisoft Plus when it releases on Dec. 7.

It’s difficult to see Ubisoft also allowing Frontiers of Pandora on Game Pass, a rival subscription service. For reference, Ubisoft’s most recent title, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, has not arrived on Game Pass either and it was released back in October.

So, for now, and likely in the future, you either have to pay full price for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora or play it through the Ubisoft Plus service.
