How to ride Jetragon as a mount in Palworld

The best flying mount in Palworld

There is no better mount in Palworld than Jetragon. Seen by many as the best Pal in the game, Jetragon is a pure Dragon-type that can glide across the map faster than other flying Pal you can catch. However, the process of using Jetragon as a mount can be slightly confusing in Palworld.

Unlike other flying mounts in Palworld, Jetragon doesn’t have a saddle to unlock in the Technology menu. This has made many players question whether the Pal can be ridden at all. Luckily, there’s a simple explanation to this conundrum, and you can see exactly how to use Jetragon as a mount in the guide below.

The only item you can unlock for Jetragon in the Technology menu of Palworld is called “Jetragon’s Missile Launcher,” which is unlocked at level 50. It costs five Technology Points and says “Makes Jetragon fire missiles when ridden.” This explanation is the root of all confusion with players looking to use Jetragon as a flying mount, as it doesn’t say anything about using the missile launcher to ride Jetragon.

Fortunately, the missile launcher is basically the saddle for Jetragon. When you craft Jetragon’s Missile Launcher and add it to your inventory, it acts as both the saddle and a weapon for Jetragon. This means when you have the missile launcher, you gain the ability to ride Jetragon and use the weapon while you’re riding the Pal.

So all you have to do is craft Jetragon’s Missile Launcher and you’re all set to fly Jetragon around the map of Palworld. However, the crafting recipe for the missile launcher is quite intense, requiring the following resources to make:

  • 100 Leather
  • 200 Refined Ingots
  • 50 Circuit Boards
  • 140 Paldium Fragments

Those resources will likely take a while to acquire, but the end result is worth it.
