Just like a physical game of baseball, fans of MLB The Show 23 want the ability to compete against friends. While the career mode is most definitely a fun time, nothing beats a game of baseball with the squad. Luckily, it’s quite easy to do this in MLB The Show 23. Here’s how to add friends and what you can do with them in-game.
How to add friends in MLB The Show 23
There is a little bit of confusion at first when you try to play a game mode with friends. First, you need to add friends before you can play any games with them. Here’s how:
- On the main menu, click on the profile button
- Head to the My Profile menu
- From here, select Friends
- You’ll see a tab for Requests
- Here, you can accept or send friend requests
Keep in mind that these friends have to also have a copy of MLB The Show 23 to accept the invite and play games with you. They can be on different consoles as long as you ensure Cross Play is activated in the My Profile menu.
How to play games with friends
Once you have a friends list formed, you can ask them to join your games. Here’s how:
- Select a game mode
- Choose Invite Friend
- Select the friend that you want on your team
- Wait for them to accept your invite
The game modes that allow you to play with friends include :
- Online Co-op 2v2 and 3v3
- Diamond Dynasty
- Ranked Co-op
- Play vs. Friends
- Casual Co-op
- Custom Leagues
- Home Run Derby
