Out of all of the weapons that you can either buy or find in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, only one has the true power to level an entire area: the Rocket Launcher. This famed weapon has returned to Resident Evil 4 after making its mark on the original game that was released in 2005. Like in the original game, the Rocket Launcher in the remake only has a single shot before players will need to put it away. However, that single shot is an explosive that will take out any enemy in a nearby radius. It’s a true do-or-die kind of weapon that players will want to find just to have in their back pocket.
As luck would have it, the Rocket Launcher is a purchasable weapon in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. Although, players won’t be able to buy it from the get-go, so allow us to explain when you are able to acquire this weapon of mass destruction.
Getting the Rocket Launcher in Resident Evil 4 Remake
Like with the Red9 pistol, the Rocket Launcher is able to be acquired during Chapter 4 of the Resident Evil 4 Remake. More specifically, players will need to eliminate the lake monster boss, Del Lago, before they are able to buy the Rocket Launcher.
As with most guns in the game, the Rocket Launcher can be purchased from the Merchant, who can be accessed in this area by using the boat on the lake’s shore. Go back to the docks where you originally were before fighting Del Lago and you will find the Merchant’s shop. The Rocket Launcher will now be for sale, but it won’t be cheap. Players will have to fork over 80,000 pesetas to purchase the weapon.
However, this can be reduced by equipping the Leon with Rocket Launcher Charm, which will reduce the price of the Rocket Launcher to 64,000 pesetas. To earn this Charm, you will need to spend a ton of time at the Merchant’s shooting range earning tokens to use at the gumball machines. The Charms you receive from the gumball machine are random, and the Leon with Rocket Launcher Charm is one of the rarer ones to get.
Once you have the Rocket Launcher, you will have the single most powerful weapon in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. However, as we said earlier, it only has one shot, so you need to make it count. Also, if you shoot the rocket too close to yourself, you can damage both Leon and Ashley, so be careful of that as well.
