How to get the Barbarian Armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

A sought-after armor set in Hyrule

If you’re a fan of the Legend of Zelda franchise, then you’re familiar with the Barbarian Armor set. It was extremely popular in 2017’s Breath of the Wild, as it features some of the best stats from an armor set in the entire game. In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Barbarian Armor set has returned in full force, and fans are itching to know how to get Link in the armor once again.

Not only does the Barbarian Armor set keep Link well-protected from enemies, but it also looks incredible from an aesthetic standpoint as well. Featuring a skull as a helmet and an intimidating brown color scheme, you won’t want to wear any other armor in Tears of the Kingdom after finding this set. If you want to loot the Barbarian Armor set in Tears of the Kingdom, read the guide below for my full explanation on the topic.

Getting the Barbarian Armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The armor set is split up into three parts, and you can see where each one is located below.

Barbarian Armor Chest Piece

The first part of the Barbarian Armor set can be located inside the Crenel Hills Cave, which is found due east of Hyrule Castle and northeast of Lookout Landing. The exact coordinates for the location are 0484, 0729, 0041. You will know you’re at the cave when you see the glowing blue ores outside the cave.

Once inside, you will want to head directly to the center, where a Stone Talus enemy will appear from the depths of the water. Fight and defeat the stone golem, keep going straight past where it was and you will eventually see a path above you. Climb up to the path and at the end of it, you will find the Barbarian Armor chest piece, which gives you 3 Defense and +1 Attack Power.

Barbarian Armor Head Piece

Moving on, you can find the head piece for the armor set at the Robred Dropoff Cave, which is found southeast of Karariko Village at the coordinates 2487, -1467, 0013. At the cave, all you need to do is follow the directions the statues are pointing and you will eventually reach the head piece of the Barbarian Armor set. Be careful, though, as there are multiple enemies waiting for you inside the cave.

Barbarian Armor Legs

Finally, we have the legs to the armor set. This piece is found in the Walnot Mountain Cave, which is southeast of Retsam Forest and north of Hateno Village. This is probably the hardest cave you will come across when searching for the armor. It has dozens of enemies, including a large goblin enemy that will likely kill you once or twice.

Luckily, the cave’s path is fairly linear, and all you need to do is keep following the main path until you reach an area where you can climb to an opening on the next level of the cave. Keep following that path to find the room with a chest, which contains the Barbarian Armor legs.

Congratulations, you now have one of the best armor sets in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
