As you progress further into Palworld, you will start to need more advanced resources to craft the higher-tier recipes of the mid-late game. High Quality Pal Oil is one such resource that you suddenly need a ton of when you cross this threshold in Palworld.

Described as “necessary for making Polymer,” High Quality Pal Oil is an essential ingredient in the production of guns as well as other recipes. However, if you have never stumbled upon High Quality Pal Oil or just aren’t sure where to consistently find it, then you might be out of luck when it comes to crafting these items. Luckily, my guide below shows you exactly how and where to get High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld.

Like so many other resources in Palworld, High Quality Pal Oil is a drop from specific Pals once they are caught or killed. I recommend capturing most of your Pals, though, as this provides a significant XP boost your character and party. Either way you go about it, though, you need to capture or kill these specific Pals to get High Quality Pal Oil as a loot drop:

  • Digtoise
  • Dumud
  • Elpidran
  • Flambelle
  • Grintale
  • Mammorest
  • Quivern
  • Relaxaurus
  • Woolipop

I suggest going after Woolipop, Grintale, and Flambelle if you’re looking to farm High Quality Pal Oil, as these are the three weakest Pals from the list. However, if you can’t find any of these Pals, you can also purchase High Quality Pal Oil from a Wandering Merchant in Palworld.

This specific merchant is located in Duneshelter and you can buy the Pal Oil for 300 Gold each. Unfortunately, Duneshelter is located at the very top of the northeastern part of the map, so it’s not an early or even mid-game location you will visit in Palworld. It’s also in the middle of a tundra, so you want to be prepared when making the journey.

Those are the two most reliable ways of getting High Quality Pal Oil. If you’re curious about farming Small Pal Souls as well, I have you covered there in my previous guide.
