How to find Sussur Tree Bark and Sussur Bloom in Baldur’s Gate 3

You’ve probably realized by playing Baldur’s Gate 3 for a while that Sussur Tree Bark is quite rare. But you’ll need to find a piece of it to craft the masterwork weapon and complete the Masterwork Weapon quest. It’s definitely worth it so here’s how to find Sussur Tree Bark and Sussur Bloom.

How to find Sussur Tree Bark

Travel to Underdark. To do so, head to the Defiled Temple and use the Featherfall spell to go down the spider’s pit in the Whispering Depths dungeon. Alternatively, you can go down the elevator located at the Zhentarim Hideout. Either way, you’ll find yourself in this subterraneon spot where you can locate the Sussur Tree waypoint.

This area is in the far western side of the Underdark map. When you reach it, you’ll need to head to an exact location where a massive tree is growing in the center of a pit that’s glowing ominously. If you encounter any Hooked Horror enemies, eliminate them. Then use the tree’s branches to reach its center.

You’ll see that on the south side of the tree is a spot where you can loot it for Sussur Tree Bark. Basically just move your cursor around the entire tree until you see this option pop up.

Once you have the Sussur Tree Bark, bring it to the Blighted Village house back where you started. Outside of the house you’ll see wood doors. Equip a plain Sickle, Greatsword, or Dagger and then head down and to a furnace within. Put the Sussur Tree Bark into the furnace. Click the furnace and use the weapon you brought with them to craft a Sussur version of it.

This new version of the weapon will have the power to silence enemies that are hit with it. It also finishes the Finish the Masterwork Weapon quest.

What is Sussur Bloom?

Sussur Bloom is an ingredient item. It’s a bright blue flower that can be picked from a budding Sussur Tree.

Use it at the Arcane Tower’s Power Generator, found on the lowest level, to deactivate all the tower defenses.
