Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is the final major AAA release of 2023 and it’s coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC when it launches on Dec. 7. However, PC fans specifically have been struggling to find where they can buy Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
There are two main marketplace platforms on PC, Steam and Epic Games, where a majority of games launch. With certain developers and publishers, though, games are launched on different marketplaces when they arrive on PC. This is the case with Frontiers of Pandora, as the game is published by Ubisoft and uses a different marketplace than most other publishers.

Buying Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on PC
Like most other Ubisoft titles in the past year, Frontiers of Pandora will only launch on Ubisoft Connect when it comes to PC on Dec. 7. Ubisoft Connect is Ubisoft’s proprietary marketplace platform where it has released a majority of its games in 2023, including the new Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Other marketplaces, such as Steam, will not feature Avatar at launch.
You can download Ubisoft Connect and start the application, where you either need to make or log into an account. From here, you can search for Frontiers of Pandora, purchase it for its base price of $70, and then download the game. You can also purchase more expensive editions if you wish. This is the most straightforward of purchasing and playing Frontiers of Pandora on PC.
However, if you want to save some money, you can purchase a subscription to Ubisoft Plus through the Ubisoft Connect application. This subscription is similar to Xbox Game Pass, but it only includes Ubisoft games. The base subscription costs $15 per month but includes Frontiers of Pandora on day one of its launch. This means you can buy a single month of Ubisoft Plus, play Frontiers of Pandora, and then cancel the subscription after you’re done playing the game. If you go this route, you save upwards of $55 if you only subscribe to Ubisoft Plus for one month.

Either way, Ubisoft Connect is the only way to buy and play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on PC.
