This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

As the Holo-Day Bash event ends in Apex Legends, another event begins: The Grand Soirée Arcade Event was announced today. Respawn revealed that the event will feature seven brand new Limited Time Modes (LTM) across 14 days. Along with the LTMs come challenges and subsequent cosmetic rewards for completing those tasks. The Grand Soirée Arcade Event is set to start on Jan. 14 and end Jan. 28. It will be available for all players across any system. It will also bring the much rumored “Third-Person” mode and the return of Kings Canyon!

Grand Soirée Arcade Event starting soon

Season 4 is set to begin on Feb. 4, the one-year anniversary of Apex Legends. However, until then, we have the Grand Soirée Arcade Event to keep us busy. Perhaps the biggest attraction of the event is all the new LTMs coming with it. Here’s a list of every mode arriving:

  • Gold Rush Duos
  • Third-Person Mode
  • Armed and Dangerous
  • Kings Canyon After Dark
  • Dummies Big Day
  • Live.Die.Live
  • Always Be Closing

You can find a description of each LTM for the Grand Soirée Arcade Event on the official blog post for the event. However, players are immediately drawn to a couple of the LTMs, namely Third-Person mode and Kings Canyon After Dark. We presumed third-person was coming sometime but had no idea Kings Canyon would be making a return.

The cosmetic rewards

Each LTM will release for two days and then be replaced by another mode, as you can see above. With every LTM there will be three challenges attached to it, and each challenge will give you points if completed. As you complete more and more challenges, you will unlock the cosmetics on the bottom of the above graphic.

There are 21 total challenges, with each set of three offering 1,000 points. While you still can, you don’t need to complete every challenge to unlock the final cosmetic item, being a Havoc weapon skin. Though, if you do, you receive a special badge.

Also, a Bonus Scoring Weekend will take place Jan. 17-20. So, there are tons of different ways to earn the event rewards.
