The next event for Season 12 of Apex Legends is on the horizon, as the Unshackled Event begins next week. During this event, new cosmetics will appear in the game and the limited-time mode Flashpoint will make a return.

Competitors will be able to play Flashpoint on the Olympus map for the duration of the Apex Legends Unshackled Event, which will last from April 19 to May 3. This will be the mode’s first appearance since the Season 6 Aftermarket Collection Event in October of 2020.

In Flashpoint, healing items are replaced with “Flashpoint Zones.” These areas are covered by blue domes and restore the health and shields of all Legends inside of them. As a result, players may find themselves engaging in battles with their opponents whenever both teams converge at a single healing point.

More about Apex Legends Unshackled Event

As with other Apex Legends events, the Unshackled Event will introduce an array of new cosmetic items into the game. In total, there will be 40 new thematic cosmetics and Legendary skins. Players can obtain them through a pair of weekly challenge tracks known as Flash Events.

The first Flash Event will run from April 19-26. Players will be able to obtain prizes like the Unique Badge, Epic Charm, Epic Re-45 Skin and Epic Seer Skin. Then, another set of prizes will become available from April 26 to May 3. These include the Unique Badge, Rare Apex Pack, Epic Boxing Nessie Holospray and Unshackled Pack.

Players will also be able to separately purchase Unshackled Packs in order to unlock things like cosmetics, weapon charms and trackers. While these Packs will only be available during the course of the Unshackled Event, the items they provide will join the standard Apex Pack pool following the end of the event.

Purchasing an Unshackled Pack will guarantee the player at least one non-duplicate item from the event. In addition, players will be able to craft Unshackled items using crafting metals. The cost of these metals may decrease after two seasons.
