With the current offering of Selection packs reaching expiration, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel isn’t leaving players without a replacement. Starting on Thursday, a new selection pack will be offered to players through the in-game shop. Valiant Wings introduces the Exosister archetype as well as the new Agent cards, which were just released in the physical trading card game.

The Exosister archetype is one of the three archetypes from the physical TCG set, The Grand Creators. That set was released in the physical TCG in late January and one of the other archetypes from that set, the P.U.N.K have already been in Master Duel for about a month. This archetype focuses on using XYZ monsters that have powerful effects that close off the graveyard. For example, the XYZ monster Exosisister Mikailis, which is one of the highlights of the set, has the effect of banishing a card from your opponent’s field or graveyard once per turn on either player’s turn.

The other main highlight of this set is the inclusion of the new Agent cards. The Agent archetype is one that has been in Yu-Gi-Oh! for more than a decade but has recently had a new structure deck release in Japan letting the fairy-based deck compete in modern times.

The physical TCG in the west didn’t get a structure deck. Instead, the cards were part of the newly released Ghosts From the Past: The 2nd Haunting set which came out in the beginning of May. The new Agent cards, led by their new boss monster Masterflare Hyperion, don’t make the archetype meta but it does make it playable.

When the pack goes live in the shop on Thursday, three packs will be leaving the shop for good. These packs are the Ruler’s Mask, Beyond Speed and Fusion Potential. If players want to buy these packs they only have a short amount of time to do. But even after the packs are gone from the shop, players can still get the cards from other methods like using the crafting system.
