During the side Gig No Easy Way Out in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, you meet up with a boxer named Aaron. Aaron is in a tight spot, as he has a very important fight coming up, but he is in cahoots with a fixer, named Angie, that has put an implant in him that knocks him out whenever necessary. This is an effort to fix boxing matches and win the fixer money for betting on the correct outcome. However, before his big fight, Aaron wants to ditch the implant and double-cross Angie in Cyberpunk 2077.
After a procedure to remove the implant is done by a Ripperdoc, you are confronted by Angie while Aaron is still recovering from the procedure. Angie makes you a simple offer: give Aaron over to her and she will make sure you get a cut of the winnings from his next fight.
In this guide, I will go over the outcomes for giving Aaron to Angie and refusing to let Aaron go with her in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.
Giving Aaron over to Angie in Cyberpunk 2077
If you choose to let Aaron continue throwing fights for Angie, then you walk out of the surgery room and won’t hear from Aaron again. However, several days later, you get a call from Angie who tells you to meet her at a boxing ring.
Here, Angie will reward you with 10,000 eddies, which is your cut of Aaron’s fight, which he lost on purpose. In this scenario, Aaron continues throwing fights for Angie and keeps on living his life.
Refusing to give Aaron to Angie in Cyberpunk 2077
On the flip side, if you tell Angie no deal, then you have to kill her and the two thugs she came into the room with. After they’re dead, Aaron will wake up and tell you how thankful he is for your protection.
Unfortunately, a few days later, you will receive a text from Aaron who tells you to meet him at a bar in Dogtown. When you get there, you discover that Aaron was beaten to death by more of Angie’s thugs. This scenario rewards you with no extra eddies and Aaron sadly passes away.
Threatening Angie in Cyberpunk 2077
There is technically a third option you can go with when you’re confronted by Angie. If you choose to threaten her, then Angie and her thugs will back out of the room willingly. Aaron will wake up after this happens and asks you what he should do with his next fight. You need to say that he shouldn’t throw it.
If you say this, then Aaron will text you a few days later saying he lost the fight, but he went down with some dignity. In this scenario, Aaron stays alive and Angie won’t mess with him anymore. You receive 5,000 eddies for your efforts as well.
Which choice should you make?
In my opinion, the best outcome comes from threatening Angie. This way, Aaron gets to keep living but he is also free from Angie’s grasp. Moreover, he doesn’t have to keep throwing fights, which clearly takes a heavy toll on him.
However, I advise you to make the decision that your version of V would most likely make in the moment.
