When it comes to any FromSoftware title, most fans are usually looking for a way to give themselves a boost in combat. Whether it’s by using a “cheese” strategy or even bringing out a summons in Elden Ring, fans will take anything they can get to get them over a difficult boss fight or mission.
Naturally, with FromSoft’s next game being Armored Core 6, players are wondering if they will be given any such advantages. One of the more popular advantages that Armored Core 6 fans have been asking for is the ability to call upon allies during combat.
This desire from the community stems from the fact that Armored Core 6 is a multiplayer game as well. The title will support 6-player multiplayer PvP in a mode that is separate from the main story campaign. With the newest Armored Core game supporting this feature, fans are wondering if other players will be able to assist them in combat.
Having allies in combat in Armored Core 6
So the answer to this question is both yes and no. At the present time, it does not appear that co-op will be available for the story mode in Armored Core 6. This means you won’t be able to call on your friends or random players to help you defeat a boss or complete a mission.
However, it has been confirmed that you will be able to have NPC allies aid you in certain missions. It’s not clear exactly how this system will work, but one of the recent gameplay trailers does show several “Allies” on the screen helping the player clear out enemy forces. From what we can tell, you don’t have the ability to call on an ally whenever you want. Instead, the game will give them to you for specific missions.

While it’s not the co-op system that many fans wanted for the main story, it’s still better than having to go up against giant mech forces all by yourself.
