This announcement comes after Free Fire teased a BTS silhouette on Feb. 26. With this, Free Fire continues to bring exciting crossovers to its fans. For over two years, the game has announced partnerships with some of the most popular celebrities, movies and games. These partnerships include soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, television show “Money Heist” and video game “Assassin Creed.”
BTS x Free Fire global collaboration
BTS will become the next Free Fire global ambassadors with an in-game event in March. This in-game event will see the band enter the Free Fire world.
“We are absolutely excited to welcome BTS as our latest brand ambassador,” Free Fire Producer Harold Teo said. “Bringing BTS into the Free Fire universe will offer our players more ways to engage with the game, socialize with the community and enjoy new experiences.”
What should players expect?
Although the exact details of the event are still on the way, players can expect new events, in-game items, skins, characters, vouchers and other rewards. Just like other events, players of Free Fire and Free Fire MAX in all countries should be able to participate in the collaboration.
Players can also expect this new collaboration in the OB33 update at the end of March. In-game details on the BTS and Free Fire global collaboration will be released soon. Additionally, Free Fire becomes the second mobile battle royale game to collaborate with a South Korean group after PUBG Mobile did so with BLACK PINK in 2020.
