You meet several different companions along your journey in Baldur’s Gate 3. From the first encounter with Shadowheart and Lae’zel to the late-game recruitment of Minsc, you will always be able to add to your camp. However, not all of these companions are able to be romanced, which can be pretty disappointing to players who have their heart set on a particular character.

One character that many players had their eyes on to romance in Jaheira, a companion you meet in Act 2 of BG3.

Jaheira is a Druid you first meet at the Last Light Inn in the Shadow Cursed Lands. She is a part of the resistance movement against Ketheric Thorm, and you can team up with her if you do and say the right things. Eventually, after some story events take place, Jaheira will join your camp as a full-fledged companion, which doesn’t happen until Act 3.

When this happens, many players wonder if they are able to start romancing Jaheira from this point on.

Can you romance Jaheira in BG3?

Unfortunately, Jaheira is one of the few characters who you cannot romance whatsoever. It’s been reported that a romance with Jaheira was a part of the cut content that didn’t make it into the final version of BG3. As such, no matter how hard you try, you will never be able to truly flirt with Jaheira and trigger any kind of romantic scene with her.

The best you can do is have her join your party and help her complete her specific questline that starts in Act 3. This questline involves her family, Minsc, and the organization that she represents. Be careful, though, as Jaheira has made some enemies all over the city of Baldur’s Gate.
