Apex Legends players on PC are still experiencing frequent crashes

Apex Legends, like most other multiplayer titles, has struggled with game crashes in the past. Of course, developers don’t plan on their game featuring this unfortunate mechanic, but sometimes a ripple effect can occur. This is where one fix causes more problems to occur, resulting in a never-ending cycle. Although, with Season 4, the problem in Apex Legends seems to be at an all-time high, especially on PC. There doesn’t seem to be a surefire reason, but some fans are suggesting that the RTX 2080 Ti graphics card might be to blame.

Apex Legends crashes due to graphics card?

Respawn currently has multiple issues with Apex Legends’ performance on all platforms. On console, the lag in-game is making the battle royale almost unplayable for some players. Then, we have the aforementioned PC crashes that have been occurring in Season 4.

In regards to the PC crashes, Respawn has yet to comment on the matter. This is even with multiple high-profile streamers and competitors complaining on social media.

While this is bad in and of itself, the issue is magnified when it costs streamers opportunities within Apex Legends. One streamer for NRG, LuluLuvely, was forced to drop out of today’s Twitch Rivals event due to the crashes she has been experiencing.

This is clearly frustrating for her and anyone else who has been afflicted by the game crashes on PC. However, there has been talk around the community that the RTX 2080 Ti graphics card may be to blame. LuluLuvely does feature that GPU in her gaming PC along with a plethora of others who are crashing in Apex Legends.

While this isn’t confirmed by any statistic or metric, it is something to note. Perhaps the overpowered speeds of the RTX 2080 Ti are too much for Apex Legends to handle, causing the crashes.
