Season 4 of Apex Legends, dubbed “Assimilation,” is now in full swing, and we just received our first trailer. In classic Apex Legends fashion, the trailer was a cinematic marvel, giving us some insight alongside two minutes of fascinating entertainment. A part of this insight is the fact that Revenant, who has been teased all week long, is officially arriving with Season 4.
What happened to Forge is still a bit of a mystery, as there have been different theories regarding his whereabouts. However, we now know that when Feb. 4 comes around, it will be Revenant featured on the new Battle Pass.
The Apex Legends Season 4 trailer
The official trailer for Season 4 was live-streamed then uploaded to the Apex Legends YouTube channel. You can watch the trailer below. Be warned, though, that some of the images may be NSFW.
The story that’s developing for Apex Legends Season 4 is becoming more intriguing by the day. There’s a ton of work and design from Respawn going into the narrative, which is something the community deeply appreciates.
According to the trailer’s description, Revenant, the newest legend, was once the greatest hitman in the Mercenary Syndicate (a crime organization). However, he was turned into a robot by Hammond Robotics with the goal of killing anything in his path. This ended up turning sour for Hammond, and Revenant is now their biggest enemy.
As we’ve seen throughout Season 3, Hammond has returned to Apex Legends and the Outlands. The start of the new season was supposed to see Hammond’s poster child, Forge, enter the Apex Games. But as we saw earlier in the week, Revenant decided to take matters into his own hands and kill Forge.
Now, Revenant has apparently murdered the head of Hammond Robotics, as seen in the trailer. This likely signals his entry into the Apex Games, though it’s unclear how the rest of his story ties in with the other legends.
Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation will become playable after a download on Feb. 4.
