Team Vitality have announced their departure from Rainbow Six: Siege after competing in the tactical shooter for over 5 years. The French giants say that winning the French League Championship would be their last victory in the scene.
We’re incredibly proud of what we have accomplished on Rainbow Six: Siege, but it’s time for a change đŸ‘‡

“To support this, we believe winning in the long run at the very top level requires a permanent focus and high intensity in our investments,” the team wrote in a statement. “To achieve this ambitious goal, we will be concentrating on a selection of top-level esports that offer the best conditions to execute our strategy”.
Even though the team saw regional success in 2021, they have failed to reach the Six Invitational for the past three years. Moreover, they failed to make it out of the Six Sweden Major group stage and finished fourth in the Six Invitational 2022 EU Qualifier.
Vitality’s Rainbow Six Siege Run
Vitality were among the pioneers of Siege esports. The 6 French league Champions won Season 3 of the Pro League in 2016. After this, they were crowned Coupe de France champions in 2017. They also participated in the 2017 and 2018 editions of the Six Invitational. They finished second in the 2017 Six Invitational for Xbox after losing to Elevate in the finals.
Since 2019, Vitality have failed to replicate their earlier triumphs. However, the team remained quite competitive with a third-place finish in the European League in 2021. Their 2021 season was one of their best in recent times with a league win and a return to Major.
