5 best talents to unlock first in Hogwarts Legacy

Only the best for your first few Talent Points

Talents are not unlocked for players until close to the midway point of Hogwarts Legacy, but they are some of the most important elements of your character’s build. They mainly allow you to build upon your existing spells and abilities, giving you new ways to play the game. However, when you’re thrust into unlocking talents for the first time, it can be slightly overwhelming.

Chances are you have at least five talent Points to spend and dozens of talents to choose from. Luckily, we have hand-picked the five best talents for you to prioritize first in Hogwarts Legacy.

1. Spell Knowledge I and II

At first, it might not seem like you need an additional spell profile, which is what the Spell Knowledge Talents give you. However, as you progress in Hogwarts Legacy, you will quickly find that you need as many spell profiles as possible. Spell Knowledge I is definitely a talent you should unlock first, with Spell Knowledge II another solid contender.

2. Swift

Swift is a spell that you never knew you needed until you unlock it. This talent allows your dodge roll to reach a whole new level. By holding the dodge roll keybind, your character will shoot forward in a bolt of light in whatever direction you are facing. This skill is perfect for escaping a horde of enemies or a giant troll that’s racing at you.

3. Wiggenweld Potency I

Wiggenweld Potions are your primary source of healing in Hogwarts Legacy, so it can’t hurt to have the potions heal you for more HP every time you use one. If you find that you’re not getting hit much in Hogwarts Legacy, you might be able to skip over this talent. However, the majority of players will benefit from some added potion potency.

4. Diffindo Mastery

Diffindo is arguably the best combat spell in Hogwarts Legacy, aside from the Unforgivable Curses. With the Diffindo Mastery Talent, you’re able to slice through an additional enemy when you target a single enemy. This allows you to deal damage to double the enemies, which is incredibly valuable in the heat of battle.

5. Human Demiguise

Disillusionment is a spell that you might not use often, but when you do need to use it, you want to be able to sprint. With Human Demiguise, you gain the ability to sprint while Disillusioned. This is a niche talent, but it’s one you will wish you had if you don’t get it right away.

And that does it for our list of best talents to unlock first in Hogwarts Legacy.
