Armored Core 6: The best build to beat Ayre in AC6

The build to take down Ayre

Ayre is a final boss in one of the multiple endings that Armored Core 6 offers. You will get the chance to fight Ayre if you side with Cinder Carla and choose to start another Fires of Ibis on Rubicon, burning all of the Coral on the planet. The final boss fight with Ayre takes place on a satellite in the middle of space, which makes for quite an epic scene.

Unfortunately, Ayre is one of the more difficult fights of AC6, and she will require an absolutely perfect build to take down.

I spent roughly an hour going through different build combinations for Ayre. I tried a bipedal build with dual Songbirds, a full heavy tank build with four different kinds of rockets, and a lighter build with machine guns. All of these builds got me killed time and time again, so I had to completely change things up if I wanted the slightest chance of beating Ayre.

This was when I constructed the build that led me to the promised land and made the end credits roll on AC6.

The best build to beat Ayre in AC6

This build was the best one I found that consistently deals damage to Ayre while also allowing you to avoid most of her attacks just by moving forward. There are some instances where you need to dodge or fly into the air, but this build is designed to stay on the ground and stagger Ayre with just a couple of shots.

Here are the exact parts that make up the build:

Unit

  • Right Arm – DF-GA-08 HU-BEN Gatling Gun
  • Left Arm – DF-GA-08 HU-BEN Gatling Gun
  • Right Back – VE-60SNA Ice Worm Stun Needle Launcher
  • Left Back – VE-60SNA Ice Worm Stun Needle Launcher

Frame

  • Head – HD-033M VERRILL
  • Core – CC-2000 ORBITER
  • Arms – IA-C01A: EMPHEMERA
  • Legs – EL-TL-11 FORTALEZA

Inner

  • Booster – Nothing
  • FCS – FCS-G2/P05
  • Generator – VP-20D

Expansion

  • Expansion – Assault Armor

The primary idea behind this build is using the dual Gatling Guns to consistently deal damage to Ayre’s shield in the first half of the fight and her health in the second half. Then, by constantly moving with the mini-tank legs, you can close the gap on Ayre when she’s on the ground and launch the dual Stun Needle Launchers to stagger her. It only takes two of those Stun Needle shots to stagger her, so make sure you’re close enough to hit both of them.

When Ayre is staggered, keep peppering her with Gatling Gun shots and you can even use your Assault Armor expansion to deal additional damage. This build is all about staying on the move to avoid Ayre’s attacks, firing your Gatling Guns constantly, and trying to get close enough to Ayre to use your Stun Needle Launchers.

With enough luck and skill, this build can and will beat Ayre and get you to the end of AC6.
