The lack of the Yugioh Master Duel mobile release has left players wondering what happened to the original plan. Konami announced Yugioh Master Duel during the summer of 2021. In the announcement, Konami said that the game was coming to nearly every gaming platform; outside of the PC release on Steam, the game was announced for every mainstream home console including Sony’s PlayStation units, Microsoft’s Xbox One/Xbox Series S and Nintendo’s Switch console.  Yugioh Master Duel released on PC and console simultaneously. However, the game did not release on Android or Apple devices on January 19 like the rest of the platforms.

Konami has had massive success in the mobile game market. According to SensorTower, Konami’s other Yugioh game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links made over $110 million in just the first quarter of 2021. Also, back in the summer of 2021 when Konami released its “Yu-Gi-Oh! Digital Next” presentation, the company also revealed an additional Yugioh mobile game called Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel, which is coming exclusively to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Cross Duel has already had a closed beta test late last year. That makes three Yugioh mobile titles available for play. However, only Duel Links is currently out. But, Konami updated players recently on the release date.

According to Konami Yugioh Master Duel mobile is coming “Very Soon”

In a tweet posted on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Games (KONAMI Europe) Twitter page when Yugioh Master Duel released, Konami stated that the Android and iOS versions are still in development but are “coming very soon – stay tuned.” With that said, there is no official release date available at the publishing of this article.

While players wait for the official release, mobile players still looking for a Yugioh mobile experience can check out Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links.
