The deck is still a force in the physical game and will no doubt be one of the best decks in Master Duel. Here is a standard deck list utilizing the Swordsoul archetype mixed with Tenyi and Yang Zing to maximize the strengths of the Wyrm-type Synchro deck.

How the deck plays

The archetype is now the most potent Synchro-based deck in the entire game. The deck thrives on simple one to two-card combos that end on very simple but powerful boards. Swordsoul of Mo Ye and Eclasia are the bread and butter of the deck.

Seeing these, or the spell card Swordsoul Emergence, can put up two powerful boss monsters with negates. This is easily done by using Mo Ye to go into Swordsoul Grandmaster – Chixiao, which can then add Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan, which can then special summon himself and make either Baronne De Fluer or Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign – Chengying. And that’s just the simple combo.

The deck also has the very powerful Tenyi archetype available, which are the perfect utility cards. These cards are also good at going into more intricate combos that utilize the powerful link monsters Crytstron Halqifibrax and Mecha Phantom Beast Auroradon. These two end up making insane boards that utilize the other powerful Wyrm-type Synchro archetype, Yang Zings and their powerful boss monsters like Denglong, First of the Yang Zing.

The deck is both super simple to play but also has a lot of skill expression, too.

How to get the cards

All the Swordsoul cards are available through a brand new Selection pack in the shop, Refined Blade. Most of them high rarity cards, so it’s best to use these Selection Packs to pull them. The alternative is to craft them through UR and SR CP. For the rest of the cards, almost all of them can be found in the Dragon Spirit Secret Pack.
