The team would need one more player to complete their roster

London-based organization Guild Esports is in discussions to sign Jose Luis “koldamenta” Aranguren Herrero and Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko to the VALORANT roster, multiple sources told Upcomer and Cybersport.pl.

Both players have been practicing with the team. Koldamenta will become the in-game leader for Guild Esports if he signs. The team would then need one more player to complete the roster.

Trexx will arrive following his stint on OG Esports, but the Russian player has a decorated history in VALORANT. Earlier in his career, he joined Team Singularity, where he competed in the CIS First Strike event in 2020. Trexx was the standout performer in the team’s loss to forZe in the grand final, with a 229 average combat score, according to statistics provided by VLR.gg

According to sources, Guild Esports will look to add the pair going into the next season of the VALORANT Champions Tour, which will begin in January. The team did not secure automatic qualification for the first Challengers series, so they will need to compete in the qualifiers.

Guild Esports have two players on their starting roster, with Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel and Leo “Leo” Jannesson as the remaining players. The organization released former players William “draken” Sundin, Yacine Laghmari and Malkolm “bonkar” Rench in late November, as announced via Twitter.

Most notably, koldamenta was the in-game leader of G2 Esports. The team played in the VCT EMEA Last Chance Qualifier in October but finished in third place, just below Guild Esports. G2 were defeated by Guild in the lower final. But Team Liquid, arguably the favorites for the event, were the victors and secured qualification for VALORANT Champions.

If koldamenta and trexx sign for Guild Esports, the team will field the following roster:

  • koldamenta
  • trexx
  • Sayf
  • Leo
  • André “BARBARR” Möller (Coach)
