League of Legends
Call of Duty
Apex Legends was released almost one year ago to near-universal praise from the gaming community. One of the most appealing aspects of the game is its legend system, which was a breath of fresh air when the game launched. However, there were always going to be some legends that stood out from the rest.
Wraith was easily the most popular at the start thanks to her ultra-rare Heirloom set. That said, one other character was also extremely popular before Season 1. Lifeline, who is now an after-thought at the legend selection screen, could use some upgrades during Season 4 to return her to mainstream popularity.
Improvements for Lifeline in Apex Legends
Besides Wraith and perhaps Bangalore, Lifeline was on almost every team at the beginning of Apex Legends. Her healing capabilities were extremely attractive to new players. Also, her care package ultimate was a great way to secure high-tier loot.
However, in recent seasons, Lifeline has fallen off tremendously. Very few players use the healer as their main character, which differs greatly from a year ago. The biggest argument against Lifeline is that her abilities aren’t worth it over other legends, such as Wattson or Pathfinder.
Though, this doesn’t mean that she can’t return to being a popular legend. One fan on Reddit even came up with two improvements to Lifeline’s tactical ability and ultimate ability. Credit goes to Reddit user Madscard.
Both suggested changes would definitely help Lifeline’s case when deciding which legend to pick. The tactical buff is more appealing to a team-oriented player, as healing yourself doesn’t grant the percentage increase.
However, the improved ultimate ability helps the entire team. Instead of just a care package, a portable respawn beacon comes along with it. While still risky, this would be extremely helpful in the late game when there aren’t as many respawn beacons.
It’s unclear what Respawn will change when Season 4 of Apex Legends releases tomorrow, February 4. Though, an alteration to Lifeline would make things more interesting at the legend selection menu.
