How to watch the Six Invitational 2022

Ninjas in Pyjamas battle against 19 of the best teams to retain the Sledge Hammer won in 2021

The Six Invitational 2022 is the biggest esports event in Rainbow Six Siege, which will take place in Stockholm, Sweden from Feb.8 to 20. During the event, 20 of the best teams will compete for the $3 million prize pool and a chance to lift the Sledge Hammer. Here’s an overview of the Six Invitational as well as how and where to watch the event.

Teams competing in Six Invitational 2022

The first 16 teams for the tournament have already been confirmed through rankings in the global points standings. Meanwhile, the four remaining teams will come from each region in the regional qualifiers. The top 16 teams confirmed for Six Invitationals 2022 include:

1. Team oNe eSports 9. Nactus Vincere
2. BDS Esport 10. Spacestation Gaming
3. Team Liquid 11. Team Empire
4. Ninjas in Pyjamas 12. DarkZero Esports
5. Soniqs 12. DWG KIA (same points with DarkZero)
6. Faze Clan 14. FURIA Esports
6. Oxygen Esports (same points with Faze) 15. SANDBOX Gaming
8. Elevate 16. Rogue

Only the Asian Pacific Closed Qualifier has taken place with CYCLOPS Athlete Gaming of Japan earning first place. The European Closed Qualifier will hold from Jan. 22 to 23, while North America’s takes place from Jan.29 to 30. There is still no confirmed date for the LATAM Closed Qualifier which was postponed for COVID-19 reasons.

Ubisoft is yet to release the exact details of the Six Invitational 2022 format. However, with 20 teams there will likely be two groups with the first 16 teams advancing to the playoffs. The group stages will take place from Feb.8 to 12 while playoffs will hold from Feb 14 to 19. The Six Invitational 2022 Grand Finals take place on Feb. 20.

Where to Watch

The Six Invitational 2022 will be streamed on both Rainbow’s Six primary Twitch channel as well as the Rainbow6Bravo. The Rainbow6Bravo is the secondary channel for all Rainbow Six Siege esports content. The Rainbow Six esports YouTube channel will also show VODs of matches. Ubisoft is also yet to release the broadcast talent information for the event. All games throughout the Six Invitational will be broadcasted live on Twitch.
