How to find the Mt. Gelmir map in Elden Ring

Discover the northwest portion of the world map

One of the toughest locations to navigate in Elden Ring is Mt. Gelmir. This towering mountain is located in the far northwest corner of the world map and requires a high level in order to get through. Considering it’s such a tough place to work your way through, understanding its full landscape can give players a better understanding of how to tackle it.

The map here is one of the most difficult to reach, though. You have to go through multiple levels of elevation, a couple of boss fights and dozens of enemies. However, this guide will hopefully make the journey as easy as possible.

The Mt. Gelmir map in Elden Ring

Players can start the quest to find the Mt. Gelmir in the central Altus Plateau. Once you find the map for Altus Plateau, follow the main road to the northwest. From here, you’ll eventually reach a bridge that brings you to Mt. Gelmir. You can find a Somber Smithing Stone (6) here as well as some new crafting materials, like Volcanic Stone.

Keep following the Site of Grace guidance to the northwest. You will once again cross a bridge that brings you to the foot of the mountain. Here, you will rematch the Grafted Scion, who you need to defeat it in order to ascend the multiple ladders that brings you to one of the toughest bosses in Elden Ring.

This boss is called the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast and takes several minutes to defeat. However, if you want to skip it, then take the windstream with Torrent up and to the right. From here, you’ll find a rock jutting out of the Beast’s pit. Take it down and then head straight immediately. Keep descending the rocks, carefully, until you reach the ground level.

Be careful here, though, as there are Hands ready to attack you. Go to the left when you’re down here and you will see the pillar with the map of Mt. Gelmir on it. Quickly grab it and head down and to the left to reach the Road of Iniquity Site of Grace.
