There’s a brand of Talismans in Elden Ring known as Soreseals that can provide a huge return on investment. These Talismans can greatly increase a player’s Attributes, but they also increase the damage they take when the item is equipped.

In testing, though, the extra damage taken is only slightly higher than normal, meaning the Soreseals are a terrific option to quickly boost your stats. However, there are a couple of different Soreseals that increase different Attributes. If you’re a magic character in Elden Ring, then you’re going to want Marika’s Soreseal.

Marika’s Soreseal increases the following Attributes by +5: Mind, Intelligence, Faith and Arcane. In return, players can expect to take an extra 10% damage from enemies. While this might sound like a good chunk, you’ll hardly notice it with the increased Attributes.

To find Marika’s Soreseal in Elden Ring, keep reading below.

Marika’s Soreseal’s location in Elden Ring

In order to acquire this Talisman, you’ll have to wait for the later part of the game. The Soreseal can only be acquired at the Haligtree, where you will find the Demigod Malenia. To get to the Haligtree, you have to get through Leyndell, Royal Capital and progress to the Consecrated Snowfields. This is a secret area you can only access at the Grand Lift of Rold after defeating Morgott in Leyndell.

Once you’re in the snowfields, head north until you reach Ordina, Liturgical Town. Solve the Evergaol puzzle here to gain access to the Haligtree.

At the Hailgtree, you’ll have to make it past the first area to reach Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. In this new area, you will find Marika’s Soreseal in a treasure chest behind an Imp Statue. You will need two Stonesword Keys to access this area.

From the Prayer Room Site of Grace, you need to keep progressing down the rooftops until you reach the bottom streets. Here, go right down the street, where you will encounter a few enemies, and keep running until you see the barrier blocked by the Imp Statue. You can see a full run-down of how to get to Marika’s Soreseal in this video from 100% Guides.

With Marika’s Soreseal equipped, defeating Malenia with magic might just be a little easier. For more helpful content, check out Upcomer’s comprehensive Elden Ring guide hub.
