How to find and catch Vanwyrm in Palworld

Vanwyrm is among the most unique and strongest Pals you can add to your party during the early-game of Palworld. It’s a Fire and Dragon type with amazing attack and its Partner Skill lets you fly it around the map.

As with any strong Pal, though, Vanwyrm isn’t too easy to find or catch on the map. It’s a flying Pal, so you have to look in the sky to locate it and then shoot it with some type of long-range weapon to its attention. Finding Vanwyrm in Palworld

Vanwyrm is located to the west of Rayne Syndicate Tower and you can usually find the Pal around level 12, so be prepared for an encounter with that level. You actually have to travel fairly far to the west of the tower to find Vanwyrm flying up in the sky.

You can also find Vanwyrm in the islands on the very southwestern part of the map, but you won’t reach that location until the late game of Palworld. The easiest way to catch Vanwyrm is to go to its early game location, which you can see in the map screenshot below.

I used a simple Pal Sphere to catch my Vanwyrm, but it’s much easier to catch the dragon if you use a Mega Sphere. Since it’s a Fire/Dragon type, using a Water type from your party is going to be your best way of damaging Vanwyrm. I don’t recommend using an Ice type, even though it’s super effective against Dragon types, as Vanwyrm’s fire attacks will melt your Ice Pal.

In battle, Vanwyrm is a fierce Pal that can deal a ton of damage with the right attacks. It also has a saddle you can use to ride it across the map, making it an ideal form of transportation. The same can be said at your base, as Vanwyrm has a terrific Transport Work Suitability. Any way you spin it, Vanwyrm is a solid addition to your team in Palworld.
