Quivern might look like a menacing Ice and Dragon-type, but it’s a friendly, pure Dragon-type in Palworld that is extremely hard to catch. There are only two locations where Quivern can spawn on the map, and one of those locations is out of the way, to say the least.
Fortunately, the other location offers a guaranteed spawn for Quivern, being an Alpha version of the Pal. In the guide below, I’ll go over where both of these spawn locations for Quivern are and the best way to go about catching it in Palworld.
Finding Quivern in Palworld and how to catch it
For starters, let’s go over the location of Alpha Quivern, as it’s the earliest and best place to add one of these dragons to your party. You can find Alpha Quivern at level 23 in the western part of your map right below the desert biome that contains Alpha Anubis. The exact location of Alpha Quivern is viewable in the map screenshot below:
Alpha Quivern is a fairly tough fight if you are under level 23, but you can get away with being around level 20-21 if you have some strong Ice-type Pals on your team. Ice-type attacks are super-effective against Quivern, so I recommend having a couple of Pals with those attacks when go to take on the Alpha. When you damage Alpha Quivern to under 500 HP, I highly suggest using a Giga Sphere to catch it, as that sphere has the best capture rate for that point in the game.
If you want to catch a Quivern in the wild, you’ll have to travel to Wildlife Sanctuary No. 2, which is near the volcano region on the west side of the map. This is the only other location that has the chance to spawn Quivern in Palworld. However, you’ll have to get lucky if you travel there, as Quivern only spawns there some of the time.
Some of the other Pals that can spawn at the sanctuary are:
- Jormuntide Ignis
- Verdash
- Incineram Noct
- Wumpo Botan
- Kingpaca
- Warsect
As you can see, traveling there certainly has its perks with the possible Pals you can catch. However, these Pals do spawn at around level 40, so you’ll have to be prepared if you venture out to the location.
