LEGO Fortnite has taken the gaming world by storm since its December 8 release, but players are starting to worry that it will disappear at some point, and their worlds will be lost forever.
The LEGO survival game has captured the hearts of players, so it’s no surprise that there’s concern about a possible exit. Fortnite runs on a seasonal system, with features and modes added for the season, which then disappear when a new one starts.
Will LEGO Fortnite end?
The good news is that there are no plans for LEGO Fortnite to end. In the patch notes for Chapter 5, Season 1, Epic made it clear that LEGO Fortnite is part of a “long-term partnership,” so don’t worry about losing all your progress in the future
Epic is treating LEGO Fortnite just like Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival, which will also be permanent modes.
Will LEGO Fortnite get updates?
Even better, Epic doesn’t just plan to keep LEGO Fortnite coming, but they have confirmed that they plan to release updates for the mode in the future.
These updates could bring new tools, new materials, new biomes, or even new recipes of things for us to create. With an open world and the power of LEGO, there are endless possibilities for what we could see in the future.
Does the first major LEGO Fortnite content update have a release date?
While Epic did confirm that the game will get updates, they haven’t given us a release date for the patch.
I wouldn’t expect anything big before Christmas though, as developers at Epic Games will be working on Winterfest before shutting down for the holiday period. Therefore, I would suggest that we won’t see the first patch until well into 2024. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more information.
