The System Override event in Apex Legends is now live for all players and systems. The update’s download size is around 18 GB, which is a bit hefty. However, Respawn has stated that this size ensures future updates won’t be as beefy in terms of size. This event is highly-anticipated, as it introduces new gameplay mechanics and 24 new cosmetic items. Today, we’ll be going over some of those items and detailing how you can unlock them in Apex Legends.
How to unlock the cosmetic items in Apex Legends
As with any Apex Legends event, the cosmetics included can be unlocked by playing the new mode. In this case, it’s the Deja Loot mode, which has permanent loot spawns across the map. So, if you play enough of the mode, you’ll unlock System Override Packs, which contain the new cosmetics.
There are 24 new skins in Apex Legends, with 12 Legendary skins. Though System Override will be around for two weeks, unlocking these items will still be difficult. So, if you’re worried about not unlocking everything, you can purchase the items for real-life money. If you’re fortunate enough to unlock every cosmetic, you’ll be rewarded with Octane’s Heirloom Set for free.
However, if you’re interested in seeing some of those cosmetics, we have compiled images of every Legendary System Override item. You can take a look at the items below.
