The last thing you want to do is find yourself stranded far from home, with no tools to break things apart. LEGO Fortnite doesn’t make it clear if you can repair your pickaxes or axes when they’re about to break though, and that’s where we come in.

Can you repair tools in LEGO Fortnite?

No, you can’t repair tools in LEGO Fortnite. I have hunted through all the menus and tried all of the benches and workstations, and none give you the option to bring your item back to full health.

That doesn’t mean there won’t be a way to do it in the future. LEGO Fortnite will be receiving updates in the future, so the devs may add that ability in a future patch.

LEGO Fortnite tool repair glitch

Even though the game doesn’t give you an official way to do it, there was a glitch that let you repair your tools back to full health.

It didn’t always work, and you sometimes ended up losing your items, although they were almost broken so it didn’t matter.

A patch released on December 12 has seemingly fixed this glitch to stop players from taking advantage of it, but if you still want to try it:

  1. Get some wood and transform it into Planks using the Lumber Mill
  2. Take the Planks and make a Small Chest
  3. Place down the Small Chest
  4. Place your almost broken tools into the Small Chest
  5. Break it with your fists

When the glitch was still active, there was a chance that your tools would drop out with full health, but after testing it a few times, it seems the December 12 patch has knocked that on the head permanently.
