The YouTuber is taking over Fortnite

Fortnite has been the pinnacle of innovation in gaming for years, and developer Epic Games has not slowed down. The playground for this innovation lies in Fortnite’s Creative Mode, where dozens of events have been put on by the developers and outside creators. To close out 2022, Fortnite and YouTuber Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson are teaming up to throw MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge.

This event takes place entirely in Fortnite Creative, where players must survive in order to have a chance to win $1 million. The player that earns the top score across the entire event will walk away with the cash. On Dec. 13, players can go to the map that the Extreme Survival Challenge will take place on in Fortnite. However, the actual event won’t begin until a few days after that. Below, players can see exactly when it will begin and end.

MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge start and end dates in Fortnite

The Extreme Survival Challenge will run from Dec. 17 from 12 pm ET to 3 pm ET. This means that players only have three hours on Saturday, Dec. 17 to earn the top score in the challenge and potentially walk away with $1 million. Any player in the world can join this event. The Extreme Survival Challenge will see players take on obstacles like never before and make them feel like they’re actually in a MrBeast YouTube video.

For players that want to start practicing for the event now, you will be able to go to the Creative map starting on Tuesday, Dec. 13. The island code for the map in Fortnite Creative is: 7990-6907-8565.

In addition to the top player winning $1 million, the top 100,000 score-earners in the event will be awarded the MrBeast Brella Umbrella. To earn score in the event, you will need to “avoid hazards, collect coins, and survive extreme challenges to earn score.” You need to earn as much score as possible before the timer runs out.
