There are several stats that make up a Pokémon’s base stat total. This system has been in place since the beginning of the franchise, and veterans know it all too well.
The most important stat for a Pokémon will likely change depending on who you ask. Some players might say it’s HP/Defense if they like their Pokémon to be tanky while aggressive players might say Attack/Sp. Attack are most vital. While all of the stats are important to the makeup of any Pokémon, it’s widely agreed upon that speed is always near the top of the list.
With speed being so important, knowing what the fastest Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet is will be a huge help if you’re looking to move first in every battle.
The fastest Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet
While some players might think that a newer Pokémon is the fastest, that’s not the case at all. Instead, the fastest Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet has been around since Generation 1. With a base speed stat of 150, Electrode is the fastest Pokémon by a solid margin. The next closest Pokémon to Electrode’s speed stat is Dragapult, which has a speed stat of 142.
Electrode, the evolved form of Voltorb, has been the fastest Pokémon since the beginning, and that doesn’t look to be changing anytime soon. Over nine generations, no other Pokémon has overtaken Electrode atop the speed charts. Unfortunately for the large Poké Ball Pokémon, Electrode really only has its speed — it does nothing else well compared to other Electric-types in Scarlet and Violet.
If you’re looking for other fast Pokémon that are more viable than Electrode, here are the next fastest Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet:
- Dragapult
- Iron Bundle
- Barraskewda
- Chien-Pao
- Flutter Mane
- Jolteon
- Talonflame
- Kilowattrel
- Weavile
There are a few new additions on this list, including Iron Bundle, Flutter Mane, Kilowattrel, and Chien-Pao. If you want to build a team of speedy Paldean Pokémon, those are going to be your top options. If you want pure speed, though, you might want to catch an Electrode.
