The challenges in Fortnite Season 9 Week 3 are out, and Epic Games seems to be giving players a break. Through the first two weeks of the season, the challenges were extremely hard and time-consuming. However, in this go-round, they’re not so difficult.
Even though they’re not too challenging, there are still a couple that could trip players up. One of these is throwing the flying disc and catching it before it lands. While not hard compared to previous weeks, this challenge can take some time if you don’t know what you’re doing.
So here’s how to complete the Fortnite Week 3 challenge, “throw the Flying Disc toy and catch it before it lands.”
How to complete this Fortnite Week 3 challenge
As stated above, this challenge is fairly trivial if you know what you’re doing. However, if you don’t, it could take some time. We’re here to make sure you complete this challenge in a matter of minutes.
To start, the Flying Disc toy is unlocked in the Season 9 Battle Pass at Tier 35. Unfortunately, if you’re not at that tier yet, you cannot complete this challenge.
If you are at Tier 35 or above, though, the Flying Disc is in your emote locker. Simply go to your locker, equip the Flying Disc in one of your top slots, then hop into any game of Fortnite.
Playing an LTM is the easiest way to accomplish this since it’s less competitive than a regular lobby. However, if you do decide to hop into a normal Solos lobby, land somewhere that won’t be populated so you have time to complete the challenge.
Either way you choose to do it, make sure no one is around to shoot at you. Once you’re alone, select the Flying Disc in your emotes, aim it at the sky, take a few steps forward to meet the frisbee before it hits the ground, and you’re done!
Below is an in-game demonstration on how to complete this challenge. Follow that, and you’re sure to finish this challenge in no time at all.
If you’ve done it correctly, the killfeed should read “(your name) caught their own frisbee after X meters!” If the killfeed doesn’t read this, you need to try again. Once you learn how the disc acts in the air, this challenge is a breeze.
That’s it for this Season 9 Week 3 challenge! Stay tuned to Daily Esports for more Fortnite challenge guides!
