Starfield versions — Which version of Starfield should you buy?

Starfield is coming soon, allowing gamers to explore an expansive galaxy full of interesting factions, tough decisions, and alien inhabitants on different planets. With the game predicted to be epic, you are probably wondering if it’s worth investing in a pricier version of the Bethesda game. Here are all of the Starfield versions to consider.

Starfield Standard Edition

The standard edition of Starfield is just the base game. If you pre-order it, however, it also comes with the Old Mars skin pack, which includes a Laser Cutter and Deep Mining Pack. The standard edition will cost you $69.99.

Digital Premium Edition

The Premium Edition of Starfield comes with the base game and a few enticing bonuses. You’ll get:

  • Base game
  • Shattered Space story expansion (upon releaseS)
  • Constellation skin pack: Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet and Boost pack
  • Access to Starfield digital artbook and original soundtrack

If you pre-order the Premium Edition, you’ll also get the Old Mars skin pack and up to five days of early access to the game. This version is $99.99.

If you already ordered the standard edition of Starfield, you can also buy the Premium Edition upgrade. This costs $34.99 and will give you all the same benefits you see above.

Constellation Edition

If you are a huge sci fi fan, the Constellation Edition of Starfield may be an amazing collector’s item. You’ll get the base game, some in-game benefits, and some physical additions that are perfect for your coffee table or gaming collection. It comes with:

  • Credit stick with laser-etched game code
  • Shattered Space story expansion (upon release)
  • Constellation skin pack: Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet and Boost pack
  • Steelbook case
  • Constellation patch
  • Starfield Chronomark watch and case

Pre-ordering this version will give you the Old Marks skin pack and early access to the game. This version will run you $299.99. It’s on the pricier side but has a lot of unique exclusive items that could be worth it to collectors.

Which version of Starfield should I buy?

The best value is the Premium Edition of Starfield. This is a great choice for anyone who wants to experience the game early and also receive extra content when the game launches five days later.
