Perplexed and Team Name head to World of Warcraft MDI Global Finals

The Global Finals will involve a total of eight teams

After a weekend of intense games, Perplexed and Team Name earned a place in the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International Global Finals.

2-0 winning streaks

Both teams came out on top by racing their opponents against time within the Shadowlands expansion.

Perplexed first bested Winning Lane Kick 2-0 before facing Evolving in the upper quarterfinal bracket and earning another score of 2-0. Perplexed continued the 2-0 winning streak by knocking Team Name down to the elimination bracket.

Meanwhile, Team Name began in the upper bracket and went 2-0 against Pieces Donkeys and Sheeesh. Although Team Name ended up in the lower bracket, they claimed victory over Evolving for the rematch against Perplexed in the first week of finals.

Perplexed received the first point of the match with a time of 19:42 within the De Other Side dungeon. However, Team Name tied the score in The Necrotic Wake, where they took down Nalthor the Rimebinder first. The match point took place in the Plaguefall dungeon, and Perplexed won 2-1.

Race to the WoW MDI Global Finals

World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International Season 2 involves competing teams duking it out for a place in the Global Finals.

After the end of three weeks, the top six teams will head to the Global Finals, which will take place between Oct. 29-31 and involve a prize pool of $300,000.

In the Global Finals, these teams will also face a team from China and the team that claims victory in the Last Stand Tournament. Competitors who wish to sign up for the Last Stand Tournament have until Sept. 20 to do so. They can register through GameBattles.

As to where to catch all of the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International Season 2 action, viewers can visit YouTube. The broadcasts start on Fridays at 1:00 p.m. ET. The next group of teams will play on Sept. 10.
