Palworld Ruby uses: What to do when you find it

If you've found a Ruby in Palworld, and just don't know what to do with it, then we've got you covered with our guide to one of Palworld's shiniest finds.

As you explore the islands of Palworld, you may be lucky enough to find a Ruby. Of course, the game doesn’t explain what to do with it, so we’ve put together this guide to help you out.

There are plenty of things to discover in Palworld, and often, you’ll stumble across things completely by accident. That can happen with a host of things, and happened to me with Precious Pelts.

Another example is Rubies, which I got completely accidentally when fighting a Direhowl. After picking it up, I just couldn’t figure out what to do with it, but after spending some time in the game, I’ve figured it out so you don’t have to wonder.

What to do with Rubies in Palworld

If you happen to add a Ruby to your inventory, the best thing you can do is sell it to a Merchant. In fact, it’s the only thing you can do with it, and it’s worth 500 Gold Coins.

That gold can be used to buy items that help you progress through Palworld or upgrade your base.

There is no point holding on to them, as they are not used in any recipes currently in the game.

How to get a Ruby in Palworld

There are two ways to get Rubies in Palworld: Finding them in chests or as a rare drop from defeated Pals.

Pals dropping them is very rare though, and truthfully, I was extremely lucky it happened to me. The Pals that can drop them are Direhowls, Relaxaurus, and Vanwyrm. I have yet to find one in a chest, but have been told Dungeons are a good place to find them.
