Misfits Gaming sign Minecraft content creator Tubbo

Misfits bolster their line of streamers with another Minecraft creator

Misfits Gaming announced the signing of Minecraft content creator Toby “Tubbo” Smith on Wednesday. Tubbo started his career in 2018, when his Twitter and YouTube accounts were created. He has amassed over 3 million followers on Twitter and 3 million subscribers on YouTube and has almost 5 million on Twitch as a Minecraft streamer. Tubbo averages 36,000 viewers and has a peak viewership of 86,000 according to TwitchTracker. He also has an upcoming Minecraft network in the works.

Misfits Gamming is no stranger to Minecraft creators like Tubbo as the company already has three streamers under their network who play the title, including Cassie “Snifferish” Anne, “aimsey” and Callum “Seapeekay” Knight. The company also hosts its own Minecraft server, Misfits Craft, where fans can play and connect with the streamers.

The company also signed another Minecraft creator in “Ranboo,” who has yet to announce it on his own social media. Ranboo is aiming to continue to appeal to younger audiences according to a statement by Misfits Gaming CEO, Ben Spoont, published by The Hollywood Reporter.

“Misfits remains committed to competition, but we’re also an inclusive community for all gamers,” said Spoont to The Hollywood Reporter. “With Ranboo and Tubbo joining our already amazing roster of Minecraft creators, fans can expect fun community events, accessible content and a total elevation of our programming. We will define modern gaming content and can’t wait to see how our collective audiences respond.”

The content team around Misfits has been teasing this signing for days across their social media channels.

According to their website, Misfits now have 25 content creators and streamers on their roster across multiple titles and genres.

Misfits Gaming is a Florida-based esports and gaming company that has teams in League of Legends, Rocket League, Overwatch and Call of Duty. They own franchise slots in the League of Legends European Championship, the Call of Duty League in the Florida Mutineers and the Overwatch League in the Florida Mayhem.
